CakePoker.com only provides Texas Holdem, Omaha, and Omaha Hi Lo ring games. You will see Stud offered in the games lobby however they have yet to open up any tables. The competition in this room is incredibly weak and it’s become one of Cake’s highlights. Most players who are able to handle the variances in the game have zero problems profiting from the various games. The stakes start at the $0.02/$0.04 and will go as high as $50/$100 although we haven’t seen many active tables above $15/$30 even during peak hours. Cake Poker is available for free for players who want to practise however you will need to be a real money player to earn the Gold Cards. The Gold Cards are only awarded in cash games and every player has an opportunity to receive one as long as you are playing with real money. The tournament schedule provides a range of different formats all played in either Omaha or Texas Holdem. Cake Poker’s biggest weekly scheduled event is the $150,000 guaranteed and can often provide an overlay. The sit and go lobby also features various formats however we found we had to wait slightly longer than other rooms for a game to fill.

Software

The software is owned by the Cake Network which means you will find players using it on other poker rooms such as SportsBook Poker, Red Star Poker and Players Only. There is a benefit to this and that’s providing enough quality traffic throughout the day to keep the games in full swing. The overall appearance of the poker client is smooth and provides high resolution graphics, easy to use navigation and top speed.
