I originally obtained him in exchange for bus money from a mildly crazy man, who insisted I take the monkey as compensation. I reluctantly accepted. He has since overseen the birth and growth of Stacksback.com and we've grown very fond of him. We've given him a good home, and aside from couple of scuff marks, he is in perfect condition.
However, we'd like to trade this lucky monkey for something bigger and better. Maybe some poker chips, maybe a copy of SuperSystem II, which we haven't yet read, maybe a broken chainsaw, which we would then fix. It could be anything.. make us an offer!
Recently I've been reading stories about internet bartering, trading up... A man on the west coast has, so far, traded his way up from a paperclip to a cube van - no kidding. His adventure is chronicled
. He's encouraging others to start "trading-up" challenges and we thought we'd start a poker-themed one, figuring that if we were willing to do the legwork, maybe it could work for us, too.
If we agree to trade something, we will come and get it, or at least pay for shipping.
So if you have something to trade, send an email with details to
admin@stacksback.com
Hope to trade with you soon!

P.S. We're going to make a continuous chain of trades, trading up
our stuffed monkey for other items until we get a World Series of Poker Main Event entry/trip package, which we will then give to a Stacksback.com customer. If we're really successful or fortunate, we'll get two trips - I've always wanted to play in the WSOP as well. We will chronicle all progress and trades in these pages. |
